Jerry Sloan

I'm grateful for Jerry Sloan! He resigned today after he coached the Utah Jazz NBA team for 23 years! Maybe it's the fact that I had my walls covered in Stockton and Malone posters as a kid. Or maybe it was the purple and green themed room I had---complete with my name stitched on a basketball rug. Maybe it's because I wore a Jr. Jazz basketball jersey playing on the city league growing up. Maybe it was the fact that I won a Jazz umbrella for cheering the loudest in my section at a game. Or because as a kid I read out loud to my dad the sports section of the Deseret News. Whatever the reason, it is sad and crazy to think that Jerry Sloan won't be the coach of the Jazz; it'll be like if BYU played without Jimmer and that would just be, well, different.
