I'm grateful for life! And that I get to spend it with those crazy people lookin at each other. Today my parents took my brother to the airport and sent him to Salt Lake City. I get to see him tonight and then will take him to the MTC tomorrow early afternoon and he'll leave to Germany from there. I think that life is all about practicing at becoming more like our Heavenly Father. We get to practice and learn what it is like to be a child to earthly parents, and parents to children. We get to glimpse feelings and concerns that our Heavenly Parents may have with us, like when we were sent to earth---kind of like how my parents sent Nate off for two years. How we deal with the trials, joys, and challenges that come along the way are the ultimate test. The trivial things---your wealth, age, social status, church calling, or background don't matter in the end. When it comes down to it, eternity is a long time, and the only the thing that will matter is the person you've become in this life, and the relationships you've created along the way.
“Love is the beginning, the middle, and the end of the pathway of discipleship.
It comforts, counsels, cures, and consoles. It leads us through valleys of darkness and
through the veil of death. In the end love leads us to the glory and grandeur of eternal life.”
Joseph B. Wirthlin
