Texas

Christmas Eve!
On the roof on Christmas Eve in 2008!
The scorpion that bit my toe two years ago!

I am grateful for Texas---especially for the weather! Mostly because the weather lets me wear flip flops year round. Two years ago on Christmas Eve, my family and I washed our cars in the driveway with swimsuits on, and then got up on the roof just for fun. Snow is great for a couple of days (see previous post), but overall I would rather be hot than cold. I'm also grateful for the fun memories I have in Texas, and for the ones I bring with me back to Utah in my suitcase: like a scorpion. My freshman year, a scorpion traveled with me on the airplane in my suitcase from Texas and decided to take a bit out of my toe a couple of days before moving into my dorm. Although it wasn't fun in the moment, it's a crazy memory to remember now! Just 22 days until I fly home!
